FINALLY! Some more information on the new L Word reality show! Good news ladies! The show will premiere on June 20th at 10pm on Showtime. How excited are you?! Aside from this great news, there has been more feedback on the L Word movie. Ilene is currently working on it! We can dispell all rumors that the idea has been cancelled! Yay! Stay tuned for updates on a date for the movie!

Tracy, 28: Smokin’ hot film and television development executive Tracy is the newbie to the lesbian scene, and still struggling with the aftereffects of coming out to her family. Throughout The Real L Word, we’ll watch Tracy juggle career, a new relationship and her ambivalent mother.

Whitney, 27: We’re bound to see some drama with this one! The Hollywood special effects artist is a self-professed terrible girlfriend, saying she’s “always looking for love, but losing to lust.” Keep an eye on this street-smart wild child.

Nikki, 37: Already famous in her own right (she’s a rep/manager/producer/industry bigwig, and publicly came out on The Oprah Winfrey Show!), Nikki is now engaged and planning her wedding to Real L Word costar Jill.

Rose, 35:Listen up, fans of the original L Word—Rose was actually the inspiration for Papi. This real estate advisor is a “lotharia” who wants to settle down, but can’t seem to shake her old habits. She’s currently in a loving relationship and has the full support of her family.

Mikey, 34:Also a bit of an L.A. celeb, Mickey is the founder of The Gallery Los Angeles and produces LA Fashion Weekend. She’s also engaged and trying to plan a wedding…reluctantly. We’ll see if she can balance her fiancée, clients and the motorcycle she loves so much.

Jill, 33: This Jersey girl next door is engaged to costar Nikki and enjoys her career as a writer in Los Angeles. She, too, has the support of her family.

L Word Book information:

Great news L Word fans! Jennifer Beals has announced that an L word book soon will be released some time this year! YAY! Heres what she had to say about the book:

     “During the six years we were shooting The L Word, I kept a photographic journal of the cast and crew, born out of a profound desire to create a bulwark against my rapidly eroding memory. It was an era of my life I was eager to preserve: I wanted to remember the cast, the readthrus, the dinners, the rehearsals — everything. I took pictures and saved my scripts, callsheets, and memos and organized them every year. I used them for reference as the seasons moved on, but frankly I held onto them because I knew I would get a kick out of looking at them as the years passed. Mostly, I wanted to remember the joy, because no matter where the storylines went, we always managed to have fun.
     Years ago, I started a tradition of making a photo book, to give as a gift to the cast and crew, after completing projects that were near and dear to my heart. As I started working on my cast-and-crew present for The L Word, I realized this wouldn’t be like the others. The L Word was about the power of storytelling. And it was particularly unique because there were two streams of stories being told. Clearly we were telling your stories, but in some way we were telling our stories — the story of a group of colleagues who became friends while endeavoring to make something worthwhile. Somewhere along the line there was a kind of convergence. Somewhere underneath the plotlines of The L Word ran our own stories of friendship and struggle. These photographs evoke the various bonds and battles we as a cast endured.
     The L Word as a series was, at its core, about community and that played out behind the scenes as the cast formed its own community. But the series also was about all of you who made our collective journey possible. That is why I wanted to make the book available to fans of the show.”

Ok! So lets get into some details….The L Word book will include tons of photos, cast commentary, and lots of other extras that L Word fans have never seen before. The book will also give you the option to insert your own photos so that you can personalize your copy! This is sooo cool!

Proceeds from the book will go to the Matthew Shepard Foundation, Mia Kirshner’s I Live Here Projects, a Project of ETINA and The Pablove Foundation. This is amazing! Jennifer Beals is truly an outstanding woman…Here are a few pictures that will be included in the book :-)
