Is the University of Lafayette Louisiana dropping it’s LGBT studies minor option?

I ran across an article online that really made me stop and think “what in the hell is going on with the rednecks in Louisiana?” After hearing that the University of Lafayette Louisiana added an LGBT as an option to have as a minor, the president of the Conservative Louisiana Family Forum rallied to have it taken away. Mainly because he said “It doesn’t reflect Louisiana values”. With that being said, what exactly qualifies as “Louisiana values” sir? Because last time I checked, sleeping with married men to “have things”, getting pregnant at the age of 16, being uneducated,  having drive through liquor stores, and being RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC are not values. They are bad habits that are the product of poverty, stupidity, and close mindedness. I also want to remind everyone that ULL’s student body is very supportive of the LGBT community and even has a LGBT week where a huge drag show is held on campus.

With all that being said, I’ll leave you all with a link to the article witness the buffoonery for yourselves. Louisiana needs to do better. Its ok to have kids at 16 just as long as no ones involved is gay!! I guess……
