DECLARE YOUR INDEPENDENCE GIRL!!!

For the past few days I’ve been reading tweets and short posts about the possibility of Frank Ocean coming out as gay on his upcoming album. The cause: his usage of pronouns in a few of his tracks. Well I resigned myself to not really speaking until I either 1.) heard the tracks for myself or 2.) Frank addressed the situation himself.

Color me surprised when I woke up to find that Frank had taken to his Tumblr to release a letter he penned, originally to be included in the credit book of the Channel Orange album. The letter speaks of what Frank Ocean identifies as his first love experience, which happens to be with another down-low guy. The letter turns sad when Frank Ocean acknowledges that after his admission of love it took his partner 3 years to reciprocate the admission.
