Are you a fan of the Lifetime series Army Wives? I hadn’t really watched the show until I noticed a lesbian couple kissing during one of the previews for a new episode that aired last night. To my astonishment, the show actually follows a lesbian couple who is dealing with DOMA, their personal relationship, and deciding whether to keep their relationship a secret or not. Charlie (played by Ryan Michelle Bathe) gives Army Captain Nicole (played by Kellie Martin) a kiss in in public at the pick-up point after Nicole returns home from duty. This is a huge deal for the two of them since they struggles with keeping their relationship a secret in the past.

The entire episode highlighted DOMA, gay marriage, and why it’s important to treat gays in the military equally. I love this couple’s storyline and I can’t wait to see more of them in the future!
