One of my awesometastic followers on twitter sent me a link to an article on Jezebel that I found to be not only insulting but completely ridicolou and crude. The article itself wasnt bad but the topic it covered was. According to the popular blog site, Hunger Game fans were extremely upset when they read the book and then attended the movie only to discover that Rue, Thresh, and Cinna’s characters were all played by African American actors. While it came across as a huge surprise to some, Jezebel.com highlited the fact that the characters were described just the way they looked on screen.

A number of Hunger Game fans tweeted saying that they were pissed Rue’s character was played by a black girl and some even went as far as to say that they didnt feel sympathy for her after discovering she ws black. Crazy right? I think so. Will the hate ever end? Click here to read the full article.
