The day after gay pride was a blur just like pride was. Antonio and I planned on making our way down to the gay area and going to have a drink or two with whoever was still in town from the previous day. He called me and said he was on his way to pick me up and head to the other side of town. I got dressed and put my phone on the charger before Antonio arrived.

Antonio always had a few tricks up his sleeve as well as in his phone. He informed me that we were going to pick up some guy he had met on Myspace and bring him to the bar with us. This was nothing new for Antonio. He had a good time  meeting men on Myspace of Facebook and hooking up with them later. It was all in good fun I suppose.

We left my house and headed towards Tonys new man friends house. We drove for about 30 minutes before we reached our destination. Tonys friend was flamboyant and wasn’t the type of guy I was used to seeing Tony with. He normally dated more masculine men. This was going to be an interesting day. As soon as we arrived at the boys house Heather called me and asked if I would come get her and take her to the train station. She explained that her room mates and her weren’t getting along and she planned on moving back to Dallas with her parents. This seemed like a lot of drama to share with someone who you just met. I told her I wasn’t driving and I would see if Tony would be ok with going to pick her up.

Tony’s friend was extremely annoying. He talked about himself and how fabulous he was the entire time we were in the car. Tony was getting annoyed too and I could tell. We arrived at the bar and I ordered a drink as well as a few appetizers. It was apparent Tonys friend didn’t have any money because he kept asking us to buy drinks. Tony bought him one and told him he wasn’t buying him anything else. The food arrived and he promptly stuck his hand in my plate and picked out a mozzarella stick I had set aside to eat last. I was ready to end their little fling early and go home.

About an hour passed and Tonys date had wandered off to the other side of the club to try and bum free drinks off of people. He succeeded in getting drunk for free and sat in a corner flirting with the pawn who was buying him drinks at the bar. Antonio looked beyond annoyed. “Bitch, would I be wrong for leaving his ass here?” “No” I responded. We ended up deciding to bring him back home and head back to the bar after we dropped him off. All the while Heather was calling me asking when I would come pick her up. What a day.

Tonys friend was so drunk he could hardly walk to the car and fell asleep 5 minutes after we got on the road. I personally was very happy he had finally stopped talking.  We dropped his friend off and proceeded to head back to the bar. We decided not to pick up Heather on the way back. We just wanted to have a good time, relax, and enjoy the rest of pride. I never talked to Heather again after that day. I never even thought about her. Strange.
